From August 21 to 23, the 2026 Guangzhou Medical and Health Industry Expo (the Guangzhou Medical Expo) concluded successfully in Area B of the Canton Fair Complex. As a high-tech enterprise based in Guangzhou and deeply engaged in tumor early screening, Creative Biosciences (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “Creative Biosciences”) showcased its innovative products including Colosafe^® and Lunsafe^® at the Expo, exploring the path of innovative development in non-invasive tumor early screening together with industry experts and representatives of Grade-A tertiary hospitals.

As a core themed exhibition of the 34th Guangzhou Expo, this year’s Guangzhou Medical Expo was hosted by the Guangzhou Municipal People’s Government and coordinated by the Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission and the Guangzhou Municipal Cooperation Office. Under the theme “Innovation Drives Health, the Bay Area Connects the World,” the Expo featured a total exhibition area of 30,000 square meters, three themed pavilions and eight functional exhibition zones, bringing together more than 200 medical institutions, research institutes and enterprises. Fifty Grade-A tertiary hospitals in Guangzhou attended the Expo with over 300 clinical collaboration requirements, and more than 80,000 visits were recorded — building a high-level industrial platform for medical technology innovation, clinical demand matchmaking and the translation of scientific research achievements.

Colorectal cancer and lung cancer rank among the most prevalent malignancies in China. Both are highly insidious in their early stages: most patients are already at an advanced stage when diagnosed, resulting in heavy treatment burdens and poor prognoses. Promoting the widespread adoption of tumor early screening to achieve “early detection, early intervention and early cure” is a key lever for reducing cancer incidence and mortality. As the nation’s first full-industry-chain medical expo led and coordinated by a health authority, the Expo created a valuable opportunity for innovative tumor early-screening technologies to connect with real clinical scenarios.

Colosafe^® — Methylation Detection Kit for Human SDC2 Gene (Real-time PCR) — the first NMPA-approved stool DNA test kit for early detection of colorectal cancer

Colosafe^® obtained the Class III medical device registration certificate issued by the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) on November 20, 2018, becoming the first stool-based colorectal cancer gene detection kit approved for marketing in China — a pioneering breakthrough in non-invasive DNA testing for colorectal cancer. Free of colonoscopy, non-invasive and convenient, Colosafe^® has completed more than one million tests to date and is available in over 700 medical institutions, well suited to clinical departments, health checkups and population-level screening scenarios, providing an efficient solution for colorectal cancer early screening.

Lunsafe^® — Human HOXB4 and SRCIN1 Gene Methylation Detection Kit (Real-Time PCR) — the first sputum-based lung cancer methylation detection kit in China

Officially approved for marketing on May 29, 2025, Lunsafe^® is the first sputum-based lung cancer methylation detection kit in China. By interpreting aberrant gene alterations (methylation of the human HOXB4 and SRCIN1 genes) in exfoliated tumor cells in sputum, it enables the early detection of lung cancer lesions, with the potential to halt lung cancer at an early stage and thereby achieve earlier prevention and treatment. Featuring non-invasive sampling and excellent sensitivity, it is suited to high-risk groups such as smokers, people with pulmonary nodules and those with a family history of lung cancer, supporting the early identification of lung cancer.

Together, the two innovative early-screening products enable non-invasive combined screening for colorectal cancer and lung cancer — two of the most prevalent cancers — helping medical institutions improve their tumor early-screening service systems.

At the Expo, the Creative Biosciences booth attracted heads of Grade-A tertiary hospitals, clinical experts and industry peers for in-depth exchanges. The team engaged in detailed discussions on product performance, real-world evidence and implementation pathways, responding to the actual screening needs of clinical departments and health checkup centers, and exploring directions for industry-university-research-hospital collaboration.
